Water Aerobics
Monday-Friday Morning Water Aerobics, $3.50 drop in per class, $40.00 per month

Must have at least 50-200 people to rent the facility for a private party.  Pool is available Saturday evenings from 6:30-8:30 p.m.  $90 for 2 hours plus $2 per person (minimum charge of $190).  This fee will get you exclusive use of the pool and the lobby plus 3 or more lifeguards. Please call the pool for availability.

Schedule your birthday party at the pool during Open Public Swim hours! Regular admission still applies. You can rent our birthday room for an additional $25 for the first hour and $12 per hour after that to eat cake, drink punch, and open presents!

American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Class (31 hours)  
Must be at least 15 yr. old by last day of class.
$95, register online at ($10 additional non-resident fee may be required)

There will be a additional charge of 61$ for supplies: mask, manual, and first aid supplies. You  will be American Red Cross certified in Lifeguard Training, First Aid, and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer with completion of course; must pass written and practical exams. All classes are MANDATORY for certification.   

Water Safety Instructor Class (31 hours):
Must be at least 16 yr. old by last day of class.
$115, register online at ($10 additional non-resident fee may be required) 
May 3-6
  Materials can be purchased at the Springville Pool or at the local American Red Cross chapter in Provo. Must pass swim test on first day to continue with class. Will be an authorized American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor with completion of course; must pass written and practical exams.

Swimming Lessons 2011

Spring swim lessons sign-ups will be available online Feb. 14th, lessons will begin March 22, and will be Tue. And Thu. For four weeks

We highly recommend that you sign up online, because there is limited space available.

Please sign your child up for the group level you believe that they are according to level criteria found at the end of the Pool Section.

Skill assessment and class assignmentwill be completed during the first 10 minutes of the 1st day of the session that you sign up for.

*An additional fee of $10 will be added to non-resident registrations.

No make-ups will be provided for late or absent students from class. If a make-up day is necessary due to a conflict with the pool, it will be on a Friday during the session and scheduled by the teacher. 

You will be signing up for a session and a lesson time; please plan accordingly. 
We cannot give refunds for swimming lessons.

Learn-to-Swim Outlines
Parent and Me
Designed for children 6 months to 5 years of age, the program builds swimming readiness by emphasizing fun in the water. Parents/caregivers and children participate in several guided practice sessions that help children learn elementary skills, including water entry, bubble blowing, front kicking, back floating, and underwater exploration. Once children can perform basic skills without parental assistance, they may begin Learn-to-Swim. One parent/caregiver per child is required. Class will be divided into two groups: parents and children ages 6 months-2 years, and parents and children ages 2-5 years.
Level 1: Introduction to Water Skills
Purpose: Help students feel comfortable in the water.

Basic water safety rules, swimming on front and back, using arm and leg actions using a life jacket,  recognizing a swimmer in distress and getting help, submerging mouth, nose and eyes, exhaling underwater, opening eyes underwater and picking up submerged object, floating on front and back. 3 yrs. & up.
Level 2: Fundamental Aquatic Skills
Purpose: Give students success with fundamental skills.

Moving in the water while wearing a life jacket, recognizing a swimmer in distress and getting help, submerging entire head, bobbing in water, front and back glide, jellyfish float, treading water using arm and leg motions, swimming using combined stroke on front and back.  3 yrs. & up.
Level 3: Stroke Development
Purpose: Build on fundamental skills by providing additional guided practice.
Reaching assist, kneeling or standing dive (shallow dive progression), submerging and retrieving an object, rotary breathing in horizontal position, front and back glide, survival float, back float, front and back crawl, butterfly-kick and body motion.  3yrs. & up.
Level 4: Stroke Improvement
Purpose: Develop confidence in the strokes learned and improve other aquatic skills.
Safe diving rules, throwing assist, dive from stride position or shallow dive, feet-first surface dive, survival float, back float, front and back crawl, elementary backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly.  5 yrs. & up.
